Bio - Yuecheng Lu

Yuecheng Lu, a student in the studio of Dr. Bunchman pursuing a DMA in collaborative piano.

 

Yuecheng has worked with singers and instrumentalists of all levels from children to elders, students to professors. She worked as a music teacher at The Middle School Attached To Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2018.

 

As a soloist, she participated in competitions and won several awards: gold medal in the 6th Hamburg international competition-Northwest China, the first prize in 2017 Huabiao international competition-Shaanxi, and the first prize in 2017 Kaibairi piano competition-Xi’an region. Yuecheng played in the New York University Piano Studies program(2019), and she had masterclasses with Rebecca Pennys, Marilyn Nonken, Yoojung Kim, Eduardus Halim, etc.

 

As a collaborative pianist, she worked at Patel Conservatory at Straz Center in Tampa(2019), and the pianist in the University of South Florida symphonic band(2019-2020).

 

Yuecheng holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Xi’an Conservatory of Music. Her main professors include Dr. Michael Bunchman, Dr. Eunmi Ko, and Li Jiang.
